Privacy & Terms
Short version: the calculator runs in your browser, we don't want your personal data, and we don't collect it. There are no accounts and no advertising cookies.
What stays on your device
Picking your computer and seeing which models fit is computed entirely in your browser. The hardware you select, the models you look at, and the speeds we estimate are never sent to a server — there's no backend involved in the core calculator.
The few things that do reach a server
- Checking a custom model. When you paste a Hugging Face repo to check a model that isn't in our list, we send that repo name to our server so it can fetch the model's public specs from Hugging Face. We don't store it.
- Crowdsourced benchmarks (the Contribute form). If you choose to submit a measured speed, we store what you selected (device, model, quantization, context length), the tokens/sec we parsed, a short excerpt of the benchmark output you pasted, and a one-way hashedform of your IP address. The hash is used only to rate-limit and de-duplicate submissions — it can't be reversed to identify you, and we never store your raw IP, name, or email. Submitting is entirely optional.
- Aggregate analytics. We use Vercel's privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to count page views and measure page-load performance. It builds no personal profile and does no cross-site tracking, which is why there's no cookie banner.
Affiliate links
Some outbound links to hardware and cloud GPU providers are affiliate links: if you buy or sign up through them, we may earn a small commission at no cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. These links carry only a referral code — no personal data about you — and they never change which models or machines we show, or how we rank them.
Terms of use
The estimates here are best-effort approximations derived from device specs and model architectures, not guarantees. Real-world performance depends on your exact hardware, drivers, runtime, settings, and the specific model build, and can differ from what we show. The site is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind; use it to inform decisions, not as the sole basis for a purchase.
